Mission

W2OPRA is a Cameroonian non-profit association founded in 2022 by a group of Halieute engineers whose leader is Jacques EDMOND K. KOUNCHE, a young Design Engineer in Environmental Management specializing in Management of Aquatic and Terrestrial Ecosystems and Fisheries. Fully dedicated to the protection and preservation of wetlands and oceans and those who live from them

The missions of the W2OPRA are : To work for the common well-being, the preservation and protection of biodiversity, marine habitats and the climate against all forms of pollution and specifically plastic pollution by inventing a sustainable and respectful link between humans and the sea and then the oceans. “Acting for pollution-free wetlands and oceans is a necessity for survival and a promise we make to our future. It is also about defending a yearning for beauty and freedom that drives us all.” also to raise awareness among the population, fishermen and fishing companies about the economic and environmental impacts of illegal fishing, in order to protect and preserve wetland and ocean resources.

Vision

W2OPRA’s vision is to refuse this inevitability, proving that mobilization can reverse the ongoing environmental and human tragedy. Only an in-depth knowledge of the issues at stake and a massive citizen mobilization are likely to challenge the overwhelming domination of the industrialists. Together, it is possible to aspire to a different relationship with nature, to make the wish for a harmonious balance between humans and non-humans.Together, it is possible to dream of the advent of a world that endures, that uses the challenge of climate change to rethink from top to bottom its unhealthy relationships with human and animal otherness.Together, we have the power to make our dreams come true. Unity will be our strength and our strength will be our humanism.
